Description
Activated carbon for cigarette filter tips uses coconut shell, coal as raw material, refined through processes carbonization, activation, and superheated steam catalysis.The activated carbon has the advantages of good wear resistance, developed pores, high adsorption performance, high strength, easy regeneration, and economic durability.
It can effectively adsorb harmful components in tobacco. Depending on the production process of the filter,there are three types activated carbon used for cigarette filters: powdered activated carbon, granular activated carbon, and columnar activated carbon.
The activated carbon for cigarette filter tips has strong deodorizing ability and significant adsorption capacity for nicotine, tar, and other substances. Cigarette filters are usually installed on the mouthpiece with a filter containing approximately 100mg of granular activated carbon, cellulose, and cellulose acetate. The manufacturing method is to fix powdered activated carbon on the fiber material or roll granular activated carbon or columnar activated carbon in the fiber material.It is also widely used for desulphurization, debenzolization, deodorization and depolarization. It can also be used in selective elimination of some chemical impurities in liquid or gas phase in the chemical, oil and gas, metallurgical, water treatment and environmental protection industries as well as the daily life.
