Determination of Floatation Rate for Coal Based Activated Carbon
Dry the activated carbon sample and immerse it in a container containing a certain amount of water. After stirring and standing, remove the sample floating on the water surface and dry it to a constant weight to calculate the floating rate. Floatation rate is mainly used for the detection of activated carbon for liquid-phase purification and water treatment. The lower the value of floatation rate, the more suitable the activated carbon is for water treatment.
