Determination of Ignition Point for Coal Based Activated Carbon
Using a quartz burning tube and a heating furnace with programmed heating, the activated carbon is placed in the quartz burning tube and programmed to heat up until the temperature of the carbon layer measured by the thermocouple suddenly increases and ignites. Due to the possibility of external heating or heat release during the adsorption process of activated carbon used for gas-phase adsorption, the carbon layer may catch fire. Therefore, it is necessary to detect the ignition point of activated carbon according to practical application needs.
